Finished Project: Sweeny Todd Fingerless Gloves Round 2

After knitting James’s fingerless gloves in the summer, I knew that I had to have a pair for myself. So back in November I brought my leftover acrylic yarn to work and knit these gloves during my lunch. They took me over 2 months to knit seeing that my lunch sometimes only consisted of 20 minutes, but I am so thankful that I had those few minutes during my stressful day to sit down and relax while knitting a few rows. Now that this project is complete I am trying to find something else to bring to work that I don’t need a pattern for and that I don’t need to complete right away.

These are my third pair of fingerless gloves and I absolutely love them. The acrylic yarn is perfect and the garter stitch almost makes them look architectural. And again all the seaming was a bit daunting (it’s the Aries in me; I get bored after about 2.5 seconds) but I just love the results.

Pattern: Garter Fingerless Mittens
Yarn: S.R. Kertzer Northern Worsted in NW900881 (which translated to Grey), roughly 100 meters
Needles: 4.5 mm straight
Mods: I added 10 stitches as I wanted them a bit longer

These are great as they are knit straight and then seamed up; I also love that although they are knit straight that they have a thumb.
